wax polish is best, although I have used spray polish in emergencies. just double check for smears with wax though
I have heard that furniture polish in a can after some time can make your visor brittle....so if using it change your visor every year or so to eliminate the possablity..maybe??
I suppose a dedicated product is the only safe route..

ive have in the past used Bee's wax on my visor, with great sucess...picked up some rainX a few weeks ago, but havent used it cos it says on the bottle that its not to be used on plastics.
anyone had any problems with it?

Iv used Rainx on my 2 lids over the last 2 years without any probs, Visor plastic is of a superior quality and has gone thru stringent test so I don't see how Rainx would cause any probs.

Furniture polish is often no different to the dedicated bike polishes (in terms of chemical constituents). I think the aspect of brittle visors was probably froma certain type of polish, I've heard it before but I've used furniture polish myself and never had the problem.
