Got my R6 march 20th after passing my test. Now completed 6000miles.

What is the service interval for these bikes?

Thanks

I can't imagine it'd be much different from the R1. I have a year 2000 R1 and there's a lot of items to be done every 6,000 miles. The maintenance items are in the small owners handbook. I've also purchased a Haynes manual because I'm doing a lot of it myself and that lists what's required in there.

Congratulations on passing your test!

Dare I say "RTFM"? It'll say in the service manual, but I'd be surprised if it's much over 6000 miles...

Or, as another good idea, call your local Yamaha dealer - they'll know. Just tell them you got the bike without a manual and you're wondering how often it'll need done - that way they can't easily try to squeeze you into booking it in there and then...

Thanks as I expected but wanted to confirm. I had a scan through the service book but couldn't find anywhere that really said anything. Maybe I just didnt read it properly. Ah well best book it in then.
