Ok i know you'll say both, but if you were gonna get pulled who would you rather do it?

I would sooner get tugged from a bike cop, as I MAY BE ABLE to sweet talk him out of it, if I were to say how great his bike was and would like to ride like him one thing may lead to another THEN AGAIN swivel.gif you have a ticket Mr PLUG good day sir cry.gif

I would say a bike cop. Although the blokes in the cars could have an understanding of bikes. I think the guys on the bikes who have more sympathy. The bike cops wouldn't hold back though, if they saw you doing something crazy.

I remember getting a pull off of a bike cop when I was 15. Me and a mate were riding around on the streets on his cb50. blush21.gif We were just daft boys but a bike cop noticed us right away and pulled us. After a stern lecture, he told me to make my way home. I just had enough for the train fare and decided go that way instead of getting the two buses home. I started to walk to the station but the bike cop stopped me and gave me a lift over on the back of the bike. cool2.gif Considering my mate had only been riding for a few weeks, he probably did me a big favour.

It was pretty decent of the bloke. bowdown.gif

i'm not bothered as long as they know what they're talking about.
traffic are a bit up their own arris, but do usually have a clue. i got pulled a while ago by a couple in a panda for undertaking on a dual carriageway(i was on the ZZR1100 at the time). i had entered a roundabout in lane 1 as they joined from my right in lane 2, they continued in lane 2 at 30mph(40mph limit) so i continued at 40mph in lane 1, as soon as i passed them the lights came on & i was directed to pull over.they pulled up in front of me on the forecourt of the local FIRE STATION, blocking at least one emergency exit. as the driver came across i asked if this would take long as i wasnt happy about being parked up in front of a FIRE STATION, his snotty reply was it was up to me. so i said OK i presume i'm being stopped for undertaking? he said yes, so i then said, ok give me the producer but if it goes to court i shall say in my defense that i didnt commit any offence & shall call myself as an expert witness, given that i am a DSA qualified bike instructor, Training officer with NAM . i shall also point out that you entered a roundabout whilst laughing & joking with your pal & proceded in the fast lane of a dual carriageway at 30 mph, you do know its not an offence to ride at the limit providing its safe to do so & if traffic is moving slowly in the outside lane?
at this point i think he realised he wasnt talking to a complete feckwit & started backtracking.
i then pointed out that i regularly train with the "lads" on the bike section & they all know my bike for miles around-its not hard to miss is it? so why would i deliberatly do something illigal in front of a cop car?
this was the point when sonny chucked in the towel with a "dont do it again-sir" laughcont.gif

saint2.gif i never get pulled! oh ok my all time record was 3 times in one week, all spot checks on a fizzy ffs!
i remember going home for lunch one day and PC Hogg, yes that was his name had dumped his rotary norton... the bike's layed in the road, bleeding and hoggy's flappin about.. he direct us all past, i'm sure he was telling ppl to f'off when the asked to help him... came back about 30 mins later the bikes still in the road and every feckin cop car and bike from darlington and county durham! we had a car trashed a yr ago and we aint seen a cop yet!
hoggy was a hell of a cop tho he could spot a dodgy car a mile away and he prabably was right, i don't think he cared for me much, we lived on the same estate and i used to fly around a bit but he never caught me, he almost did, but by time he caught up i was off the bike, he gave me a bollocking tho, he was catching the fairing tryin to catch me... so he sed (it was a very scenic estate with nice bendy bits, ask ruby :tounge: ) he didn't do me..... most likely coz he was off duty and wanted to give my ass a kick Oo1.gif

I got pulled by a bike cop who had a pleasant little chat about bikes and then gave me a producer . Another time I was stopped by a car and had a stand up 5 minute row/debate about insurance and they then just left. The best one I was ever stopped by was on a bicycle, he'd been trying to stop me for about a week but every time he put his hand up I just kept going and ignored him. He was about 18 and I was 16, I didn't take him seriously at first but got I a bit scared of what I could be charged with if he did stop me so I didn't give him the chance. In the end I was sitting in a park near the Police station drinking with friends and he cycled up to me. I had visions of being banned for drink driving at 16 as well as failing to stop for a Policeman, plus whatever minor faults were up with the bike. He said nothing about the drinking or failing to stop and just reported me for a dud bulb. I've felt really guilty about not stopping for him ever since.
