My gloves stink. I mean really smell. They're a pair of lightweight Thinsulates and I use them every day. My hands sweat and the inner lining can get wet through. As a result, the gloves smell like a corpse's crotch.

It's difficult to wash the gloves and get them dry again in time to use for my commute, and in any case they stench-up again within 2 days.

Does anyone have any ideas?

When you dry them put a bit of talc in them to help keep your hands dry fcrossed.gif

I beg to differ (no offence big Geordie) but adding talc will just give you a build of of talc, the reason they smell in the first place is bacteria...stick them in the freezer over night in a plastic bag..reeat as necassary wink1.gif
Cheddies
talc on the hands before you put them on each day?

Febreeze them in the evening?

i dunno, talc may build up and leave gunk in the gloves though

no sweat so much?

Talc & febreeze only mask the problem & probably add to it long term...just bung em in the freezer tounge1.gif

It was just a thought as talc in socks helps to control smelly feet and helps my athletes foot,it`s worth a try fcrossed.gif
Billy M
yep...put them in the freezer overnight and no more smell....you can do this with your bike gloves too... lbhh.gif

Without being funny or anything, and if all else fails, I'd be inclined to bin the gloves and go for a new pair and be done with it beer.gif

They're only a couple of months old. I'm going to try the freezer thing.

Are the gloves a brand name or a cheap pair?

The brand is "Akito", using "Thinsulate".

Feedback time...

The freezer really seems to work. Stinky hasn't left the building entirely, but another couple of days should do it.

Thanks to all.

Now... about my smelly bottom... grin.gif

Fill them with charcoal before putting in a plastic bag and then the freezer. It absorbs the stink.Empty them out and vac them.

I like to complain

Since reading this thread, i've lost the feeling in my ar@s, my bike gloves, the BBQ fuel, the ice tray & my job.....all the rest apart from my job I think are still in the freezer but I've been here so long I can't remember...

PS I can still smell something any suggestions ?
