Easy. Do what your instructor taught you to do, relax, enjoy the ride, and don't fill your head with the half remembered nonsense and "theories" that one can find on internet fora. fcrossed.gif

If you can keep calm and focused you will do well. If you do make a slight error don't beat yourself up and get tense nobody gets it perfectly right. Contrary to popular belief the examiner is not out to fail you, they just want to see that you are safe.

Good luck mate!! happy_fingers.gif

Observation, observation, observation! If you get this right every time you manouvre you'll be half way to satisfying your examiner. Just generally stay calm and keep things together, be fluid but not fast. Worst thing you could do is be nervous and make mistakes as a result.

Opposite where I work there's a guy who has a gsx-r1000 (passed about 6 months ago i think). He failed on his first test for doing 36 in a 30 but also got a minor for hesitation.

He accepted the reason for his fail, but explained the only reason he hesitated at the junction was: there was only enough time for him to pull out which meant the examiner would have been left behind/split up from him. The examiner said "yeah but I'm not gonna be behind you for the rest of your biking life so forget I'm there and go if it's safe to do so".

I've got my test on the 30th of may, so I'll be double checking this with the instructor. Asside from that, exactly what everyone says.

It's quite easy to talk yourself out of it, even though you're upto test standard. I struggled with my u-turns on the first ride out. The harder I tried, the worse I got. 2 days later I went back with a relaxed mind and nailed it smile1.gif

Yup, my examiner was in a car too, so I had to not worry about that. If there's a gap to the left of a car waiting to turn right, and you can take it, but instructor can't fit, then take it. Examiner will ask you to pull over if you get too far ahead anyway. But you have to ride 'your own ride'.

Similar here, take a break, then try them later or next day. I drove myself nuts trying to nail it, and got worse. Next morning, perfect. buttrock.gif

Mine too... I was told, if they got stuck at traffic lights they would let me know and I was to pull in and wait for them at the first safe place. They'd then let me know when they were coming.... ie behind green car etc..

In fact, I was a confused during my exam as the examiner pulled me into a Petrol station... Told me to switch off my engine. I was really worried cos it was only 10 minutes into the test. Thought I'd really screwed up. Turned out one of his fuses had blown in the car !! lbhh.gif No lights.

I passed my practical test, yipeee! wwww.gif but at first I thought I had failed because he said take the second exit at the roundabout but I missed it and went all the way round, in the mean time the examiner is saying "where are you going I said the second exit" at that point I thought I had failed. Then I rememberd what the man before me had Said if you do anything wrong just forget about it, so I did and I must of worked. Oo1.gif

Congrats dude beer.gif

I did my DAS last week and thought exactly the same thing, that I had failed pretty early on, I figured 'OK, forget about it, the rest can be practise for next time.' and finished up the rest of the test without any pressure, and just rode the best i could. So it was even more of a buzz when the examiner said I'd passed. He said I had a shaky start, and he could tell I was nervous, but when I relaxed I was a good rider. Just shows that they're not there to scrutinise everything you do, but just to make sure you'll be safe and capable on the road on your own.
