undefinedI was gonna finally get myself some decent kit in time for winter but circumstances have forced my hand.
If your going to bike through the next 6 months - get the kit - I know it can be pricey, (forgive me Leon - OXFAM) Going from scratch:
1. Get the gear. eg.. Leathers, armour,wetproofs- sod the 1 piece/2 piece argument -get protection, an I don't mean the condom (although can come in handy if, (well sorry thats another thread....)
2. If second hand - inspect n' inspect again - 1 more time - just to be sure.....
3. Don't skrimp on the toe/ankle protectors! An' for F'ks sake ditch the trainers
4. Don't forget the Bike - Tyres (Nice full tread) - Brakes (1 at the back an'1 at the front - check), Oh aye how's the forks bouncing? Check the oil.
5. Gloves - for those with no hot air vents, near the grips (DO THEY WORK??? I don't think so!) Nice wee trick - you know petrol stations, get the freebie gloves from the deisel pumps - they work wonders under/over the hand leathers (I prefer them under - better grip)
Getting a bit sore now, so am going offline, Ima....Don't let circumstance dictate your protection....If you can buy the bike, then get the accessories first.....An' yes snow in October - near Ben Rinnes, Scottyland!!
And as a small word of warning - the camber of the road was all wrong.....
No excuses - Biker error was what did me!
Have to go...
