Right,
I am fairly sure that I am goingto have to sell my car - bascially due to the on going repair costs (I don't want to but I'm having to be realistic. Nothing REALLY wrogn, just age related).

So I'm considering a pick up, if the insurnace works out. The thing is, can a pick up transport a bike?
Leon
what about adapting the load bed to have a locking system for wheel clamp type things, and side stabiliers?

Were you thinking of putting the bike in the back of the pick up and pretend your riding? eyebrow.gif

and you need 2 peeps to load/unload it, whatever you decide, make sure you compress the front forks as hard as you can, or the 1st bend you go around, you're going to have to stop & pick up the pieces cry.gif
TBH, you'll soon get sick of humping a bike in or out a van/pick up.
if you need to move the bike about, how about a trailer?
you can store a single bike trailer in a garage or round the back of the house. just dont buy a citroen as a tow car (the tow bar prices are horrendous)

vans are a lot better, there are loads of models which are low, pickups tend to be rot boxes, trailers are much better, just tie it down properly! Oo1.gif

But they are great cars for towing cos of the self levelling suspension! Just buy one with the towbar already fitted like I did. Had it 3 years now and it only cost me £400, that's cheap motoring!

Aye, but wait til citroens fancy hydropodnotic-selfy-levvelly-thingymagig goes wrong about a grand to sort in most cases. We're onto our 3rd citroen now & thankfully all of them have had boring conventional suspension.years ago i had a gs pallas to pull the ski-boat, what a blast that was, starting it up & feeling the whole thing raise upwards-til the suspenders started to go wrong, the local citroen man said "flog it quick" wwww.gif

we've had our citroen 4 years and so far has run hassle free apart from a ball joint 2 new cvj's and a bit of welding for the last MOT. eyebrow.gif
