Hi all,
Well, I've had the bike for about 2 months now.... And its still absolutley stunning.
First service happened about a week after i got it (600 miles) and I am still grinning.
Furthest I have been on it so far is a round trip of about 300 miles and me arris hurt a little
I did get a little saddle sore but apart from that, nothing...
No problems as of yet (touch wood etc..), tyres seem really competent going round the bendy bits and the motor feels a lot stronger after I passed the 800 mile mark (apparently self teaches to allow for altitude, riding like moron etc..)
So, thought I would all let you know... Anyone else got a Daytona who can add comment too?
Cheers
Nate

I'd happily take one.
The only other person with a daytona is EB but he's been busy for the last couple of months. Don't know how he's getting on with it but it look stunning.

i've heard stories about the build quality-cracking fairing lowers-EB had probs & a guy near me had similar, plus exhausts cracking.
shame as it looks a nice bike, just wish they would sort themselves at the factory-one guy got his delayed from his dealer cos it came pdi'd with no toolkit, overtightened headstock, & uneven levels of fork oil-just not good enough imo.
on the plus side the panels are generally thicker than jap stuff(so its easier for me to repair when it gets flung down the road)

Had a go on EB's, which was nice, and it felt really top notch i must say. He has had trouble with it though as dp mentions and i think he'll not get mad at me when i say that he may have picked the wrong bike for him. I think he should have got another twin coz thats what he likes and seems to have had a few niggles trying to convert to riding a four cylinder bike. He found the fuelling to be pants recently and his bikes stutters noticeably around three to four thousand revs which if you have seen a dyno for the bike its not surprising as everything dies of at that point. I reckon its down to triumph getting it passed various emissions controls and legislation and imagine that sales of power commanders will rise comensurate with the sale of daytonas.
None of this is to say its a bad bike though, when its on song it sounds fantastic and it really flies when wound up. The handling is excellent and the brakes are superb. Looks nice too. Forgot to mention that eb also had the paint disappearing off the factory fitted hugger and the already mentioned split in the lower fairing.
Id deffinitely have one though if i got half a chance!

My pal has the RS sprint. He had really noticed the performance of the bike slipping, until he put the bike in to get the software in the chip updated. When it came back out, it was like a new bike. Maybe EB will notice the same, if he get the software updated to the latest version.
Bikes seem to be turning into PCs these days.

Hiya
I brought my Daytona recently & I am absolutely loving it. My only problems with it are town riding being a bit jerky and hard on the wrists & my inability to keep to speed limits cos I always want to hear 'THAT NOISE'. Other than that we are very much in love and my wife has now been moved outside and had a bike cover thrown over her to make room in the house for the bike!!
