Hello folks, as a much cheaper alternative to a scottoiler I have found the Loobman (www.chainoiler.co.uk/) to be equally as good and a lot less hassle to fit and set up. Had it fitted to a couple of bikes over the last 3yrs and it has served me well.

I had a loobman a while back it worked ok
Just don't get it mail order and delivered to work like I did, not a good idea to have reception hand you a parcel labeled "LOOBMAN"
I now have a Scott Oiler on each bike;
One has worked without fail for 3 years, chain is lasting forever and never needs ajusting.
The other one never works properly, I'm always cleaning up the oil from under the seat and the chain is nearly always dry.
Go figure!

Would never use one, much prefer to lub chain manually.

I'm using a loobman and it's fine, once you take the time to get it all set up.
Wouldn't recommended it as the sole method of lubrication though- I use that everyday (on the way TO work) and spray wax on it once a fortnight just in case- only had to tighten my chain once in the last few months. I do about 50mile a day.
