Not all of us are lucky enough to have Xmas off I know, but just as a helpfull holiday sort of thing to do...

If you do something that makes life easier for you and your bike wether working on it, cleaning or riding it note it down here for us to share.

Many years of experience out there and little gems of info could really help folk out..

The other day I cleaned my rear brake, it's a sliding caliper so the pins it slides on needed cleaning and copper grease...I use a cotton bud to apply the copper grease it is perfect for the pins and the pin holes, lets me poke copper grease in a treat grin.gif

For the absent minded, tape a spare key to an out of sight frame rail (black frame black tape etc) so should you loose you arn't stranded.

I also keep a few zip ties, blocks of wood and bungies handy when working on the bike as they can act as an extra arm in awkward situations beer.gif

To help screw a bolt etc in so that it doesn't cross thread, turn it anti clockwise until you feel the bolt jump inwards a little (you are matching the start of the threads to where they start) then start to do it up..I've always found this helps when working blind......is this just me or does anyone else do this Oo1.gif

Anyroad keep em coming

Happy Crimbo

I would say

Keep a Torch,,, one of those LED blinkers and some tape under your seat...

In case of an electric failure,,,

you can stick the brinker on the bike, so you can be seeing

and a have a torch to probe around etc.... in case you know what you are doing... buttrock.gif

If you are trying to get grease into spaces like bearing racers etc. I find that a large 50ml syringe helps you do it without getting grease where you DON'T want it.
