Anyone use them??
How do you rate them - a worthwhile investment or not.??
I have just bought some for my thundercat for £28 off ebay and want to know what the consensus is...

they usually mean the bikes been crashed & are bought to cover up the evidence.

They can certainly save ruining an engine casing or side panel. If you get r&g bungs you can get discount with ebikeinsurance; other insurers ma be offering similar deals
Roddas
well,,, if you are talking about Crash bungs,,,

I do not know how much they saved the bike , but on my accident back in July the protector took the hit and weight off the bike.
My foot was trapped under the bike and only minor damage to the foot & boots

So in my view,, R&G ... Priceless...

It looks like money well spent then!
It certainly can't do any harm can it!
Here is what I got for the money ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:B:EOIBSA:UK:31

well

I think it did protect the bike a bit too.. but as I said, most important of all

I can't comment on how good the one you got off EBay is.....

when I was thinking on getting one,, I looked around and did find some cheap ones...

but most people ( shop and here) reccomended a good one, rather than the cheap one..

So I got R&G's expensive, but quoted as the Best....

There two ways of looking at crash bungs...........

1 they can protect the body/ frame work

2 they can also add damage to the the frame by digging in when sliding down the road and giving a twisting
action to the frame/engine adding more severe damage .

Its a matter f you take your chance and fit them, I have them on the bike as I think it could help in most cases..
