Dropped my bike today blush21.gif
Was riding around a city I didn't know looking for a mate's house. Took a wrong turning and ended up on a steep hill on a dead-end street. Tried to turn round with a three (ish) point turn. The road sloped quite sharply from the centre into the gutter at each side. Bike went over sad1.gif
Managed to lift it up on the second attempt probably from the adrenalin. Trouble was all I wanted to do was sit down and have a fag but because of the bloody camber I had to wobbily wheel the bike until there was a bit of road where I could put it on its side stand without it falling over.

Anyway, lesson learnt, sh!t happens.
Cosmetically the bike's got small scuffs on the exhaust, foot peg, engine casing, brake level and bar end.
Mechanically, the gear changing feels more heavy that before. The bike's 1000 miles off its next (4000) mile service -- ought I get it checked out sooner than that?

cheers, moff rolleyes.gif

Sorry to hear of your drop - been there etc. glad there wasn't much damage. You are probably looking/listening for other damage hence the sense the gear change feels heavier - but others with more experience than me may say different.

My d-in-law lives in an avenue like that, and the only way I can get the bike round the other way is to go anti-clockwise round the circle at the bottom of the ave - my legs are not long enough to do it the other way.

Really sorry to hear you dropped your bike verysad.gif
I did it myself a few months ago just before we where ment to be going to a rally with Taz.
I had pulled into a petrol station for petrol (strange that eh!) I had filled up and just put the cap back on. When a 4x4 pulled up behind me. Now being the nice person that I am I moved my bike forwards so he could fill up while I was paying. As I walked away from the bike I just heard a crunch. at first I thought it was Mr.4x4 but he was about two feet away. Then I rememberd as I had moved the bike forward the stand must have lifted a little. The bike looked like it had about £150 worth of damage. But in the end it only cost me about £65 thanks partly to my friend Les Harris who got me some parts at trade. But like you I keep thinking there is something not quite right. Is it in my head or for real. Who knows!!! I check the stand three times now before I walk away laughcont.gif

there are a few things that can get knocked out of shape even with a slow speed or static drop mate, to be honest if this is the 1st time you have dropped it, then most of the (difference) change on how she sounds will be in your head..but there will be no harm in getting the gear selector arm and splines checked when she goes in for her next service

yeah mate, check the gear selector fork..

my bike is currently in bits as i´m opening the engine to replace mine as it´s jumping out of second to neutral..

I´ve read that it might be caused by the bike being droped on the gear selector side.. and mine was dropped on that side, once when I got to my garage ( building comunal garage) the bike was lying on the floor...
