The Triumph site

I've heard they are £14k though. ooh2.gif

Still , its got to be an experience. I've not even owned a car with an engine that big. It'll probably go down a storm across the pond.

So with a shave here, a tuck there, a bit of boring, some carbon bits and a performance exhaust...

You can still kill yourself... Cool!

Might also boost sales of leather waistcoats in the US...

Apparently the torque figures are incredible. So you could use it for towing the caravan. ooh2.gif

Its fuel-injected, longitudinally-mounted, in-line three-cylinder engine has a cubic capacity of 2,294cc – 140 cubic inches – and uses the same size pistons as a ten-cylinder American muscle car.

But the impressive numbers don’t end there as Rocket III makes more peak torque than two together of almost any other production motorcycle. To be precise, a massive 147ft.lbf torque at 2,500rpm, with 90% delivered at a mere 1,800 rpm. This stunning triple digit number means, two-up, it will accelerate faster than pretty much anything else on two wheels.

That's definately for the American market. The Americans just love that sort of stuff. Although saying that . The Vmax did okay over here.

Look for the new big appearing on the movie screen soon. The yanks love their Triumphs.

Have you ever ridden one?
The acceleration is utterly mental!!!
But they sort of fall into corners, very disconcerting, and fecking silly heavy.

Got your tech head on love?

My opinion has always been that a 125 cc cruiser is taking the piss. Cruisers have no business being small farty things. If you have to have a cruiser then it should be massive with huge power and torque.

Well done Triumph - it's got massive balls as they say. fecking huge tads and no mistake.
It will absolutely fly in a straight line and so what if it wont corner all that fantastically? Its not pretending to be a sports bike anyway. I like it. I reckon it out-hogs the hogs!

Not too much on poncy chrome either...
ZOMB!E
Bugger! bloody technofobe!
ZOMB!E
Sad to say that is an ugly-ass engine though!

take that stupid shiny bit off the tank and the stupider front mudguard beak and that would look right hard!

Having had a look at the thing from the side I have to say I don't like the look of the engine much, it's a bit big and numb.Looks more like a tractor mill
bikerdave
I quite like it. ooh2.gif

I need to stay somewhere a bit warmer cos I couldn't get along without the fairing. In somewhere with some decent weather, it'd go down a treat.
