managed to get a test ride on a fzs600 and z750s yesterday (first time
on a big bike not pottering around london, thought my cheek bones
would break from the grin after realising just how fecking quick the
acceleration is).
loved both of them, I think they've got enough
fairing for distances (plz correct me if i'm wrong) and I think i'd be
very happy with either. the z750s is £1.2k more than the fazer,
although it is an 06 reg whereas fazer is 02.

i'm interested in folks
thoughts on whether it's better to go cheaper and keep some pennies in
the bank, or basically blow my budget on the
newer bike? is there any element of the 750 'lasting' me longer than a
600, in that I might outgrow the latter sooner? I realise it's going
to be a long time before I possibly come near that, but just thinking
ahead really.
either way, I think the end of my hunt is in sight...just can't wait
to get on a big bike again...man, what a buzz!

there are pro's and cons to both bikes, but generally both are great! the extra capacity of the Z will definitly mean that you wont get bored of it for quite some time........

the fazer is a tried and tested tool, very reliable with a strong following! i'd say that for an 06 zed compared to a 02 fazer it would be worth the extra £1.2k.

id go for the zed.......

i've been thinking about it, and at the moment am tending towards the fazer - the zed looks awesome, but i'd basically be brassic if I got it. plus few a few hundred more i could get a new zed...easy to let budgets creep upwards! Oo1.gif that said.... you can't take it with you.. ooh2.gif lbhh.gif

@vaanen, you said both have pros and cons - can you elaborate, esp w.r.t. the fzs?

sorry - With Regards To

Fazers are tried and tested but the Z sounds and looks amazing. Its such a difficult choice. At the end of the day which one did you have the most fun on? which ever it is then buy it.
moff
i had more fun on the fazer, but because I had 30 mins on it, whereas the 750 was a cheeky ride just before the shop closed up so I was very concious of the time

difficult decision... but a fun one smile1.gif
Roddas
very hard decision indeed......

personally,,, if you can afford,, I would say the Z750 bcos it is newer....

and when you take into account £1200 is not that much...

but again depends on your finances....

Plusthe insurance is probably higher on a Newwer Z750
that it would be on a fazer 600

check it first as it may be a decising factor..... eyebrow.gif

moff
good point roddas ... insurance is about 300 more on the z750s Oo1.gif

next question: i've seen an 04 z750 (not z750s) for only a few hundred more than the fazer .... from pictures a z750 looks like the z750s just without the nose(?!) fairing. If I put a screen on the z750 will that be enough to help on long distance journeys for wind blast?

sorry if these are daft questions, i'm just completely new to this and given the amount of money wanna get it right smile1.gif

cheers, moff.
Vaanen
i go for miles and miles on my naked FZ6 without any problems..........anyway, the naked zed looks LOADS better than the "s" version! sounds like a deal to me! how much they askin for it?

well

I used to have a Naked Bandit is a small nose screen and it was ok on long distance

After I got a B12 S with a half fairing, better than the B6

Now I am riding a naked Cb,,, and it is a hard job on Mways...

so the little front screen makes a big difference........ buttrock.gif
moff
well, feckit, i've gone and bought a bike.....

actually gone for brand spanking new, cos it's only two hundred more than the used '06 I saw, and as such a noob to bikes I just want the increased peace of mind of something that's only had me to feck it up wink1.gif

and i'd like to thank mr mastercard, mr blackhorse, and mr depreciation, without all of whom this would not have been possible
