Fingers crossed everyone, There's still a boat load of work needed.
All the electrics need reconnecting, the exhaust needs hooking up and welding, oh and the alternator has to be switched over from the 250.
In short a lot to do.

Best of luck mate - hope it goes well! i got up early and sorted out my gearchanger today so its working properly again, changed the oil and fiddled with a few other bits. got to wash the poxy thing later.

Zombie, that reminds me, its about time I changed the oil in the viffer. That'll be my job for Monday.

Well, everythings hooked up. and popped the key in the ignition.
No neutral light cos the gearbox isn't wired up yet. Pressed the starter button, (do you ever get butterflys at this stage?) and...............


































Nothing.















Ok check the main fuse. Bugger it's got smashed somehow, ok get another.
Pops the fuse in and...................... batteries flat arris it's been sat round the back for two weeks with nothing to do and it wasn't exactly brimming with life when i took it off.
Tomorrow is another day.

At which point in the preceedings this is I'm not sure but he's got a smile on his clock so it must have been that one moment...........!!

Ima, the reason it won't start is that its missing a few parts, like a petrol tank for starters.

I cannot deny, I do enjoy doing my own work, you get a certain amount of satisfaction when it's all done and working properly.

wonders if he should point out the lack of carbs too............


the problem is you need a big hammer, if this fails to scar the bike...you need to drag it round the front and find a Scania truck to jump it off, if that fails, push it up n down the street for three hours, at this point your good lady comes along, flicks the kill switch and it starts first time! then she takes a picture of a grown man crying!
