for the gsx 400 engine turns out the engine is about an inch longer and a quarter inch wider than the 250 (erse).
SO can i make new engine mounts and bolt them to the original ones to space them the inch back i need the only alternative is to cut the frame and weld in a new section and i'm not the best welder you'll ever meet.
this is turning out to be a bigger pain in the arris than i anticipated.

Any advice graciously accepted bowdown.gif

normally just making new mounts does the job, some might end up odd shapes! ...but connect the chain and sprockets to make sure they are inline before you do anything, its also a good time to see if the gear linkage fouls anything and exhaust, even daft things like the coils, cables, its easier to move stuff around without the engine mounted

If you're struggling to get engine mounts made, give me a shout.

I've got my bro the engineer coming round tonight with a big F***ing hammer.
It would help if it wasn't p****ng down as well.

It's been cracking the flags round here for the last week, soon as i get the spanners out, crash, bang, flash, the streets awash there's fish and frogs falling out of the sky.
