it is a sachs beast as the right honorable gentleman suggests. I t has been promised as a production bike from the german supension company and limited bike manufacturer for years now. i think it should go into service simply as a reward for being brave enough to make something thats a little bit out there!

Collecting pictures and info about unusual bikes is a passion of mine thati have neglected to soem extent since my accident but i feel the urge to dig out econocycles, quasars, ox 2's and various foot forward jet ski engine powered monsters again!

It's very nice i must say BUT is it road legal?
I've always fancied having a crack at building "something different"
but i've always been put off by the legailty of things.
As a matter of interest what are the basic legal requirements of a motorcycle with regard to say mudguards, chainguards, lights and such?

ima, build it , THEN worry about the legal side of things.

a few years ago we built a c90 chop, it was basicly 5 c50/90 wielded together, i wish i had a photo it would be easier to explain! the guy who owns it now claims he did it, he always was a prat, he'd sell his mum if he could make a profit!
we cut the headstock off one, then cut the other bikes head stock plus the top tube and welded them together with a steel insert, then the same with some forks,making them twice the lenght took the c90 tank out, made a seat to replace it, cut the back mudguard and made it look like a harley one, grafted a petrol tank onto the frame, ape hangers and it ended up been hand change gears, it was weird to ride but very stable apart from changing down gears
as far as legal went, you need a horn, rear light with stop light, and it must lite up the number plate, a rear reflector if the light hasn't got one, high/low beam, i'm not sure but a high beam warning light( i fitted a lighting kit to a 200 kawa and the kit didn't have one) a horn, speedo, the kawa was a grey import on a age related plate(2 years old) and didn't need indicators

I think i really do need to write that thing up for the forum.

The NCC national Chopper Club are just like u & me but they spend all their money on thier customizing.

One of the stipulations for being a member ( or it used to be not sure if it stil is but i will ask ) is to ahve a bike trike that you have built at least 50% of yourself & must be fully maintained by yourself.

They are great people & throw some some cracking parties.

But if there is any info you need & dont want to ask them then give me a shout If I don't know the answer ( which I know I won't ) I know several hundred that will.

It's more a, don't want to look a muppet thing, whats wrong with the one you've got.
But i like to be different, have you ever seen footage from newyork where all the people are walking the same way down the pavement and one guy is walking the opposite way. That's me.
