A quick question for anyone who has more than my minimal knowledge of 'how things work!!

As I took the cover off my Fazer this morning, I caught one of the mirrors, and it sounded like a spring inside the stem snapped, and as a result it's flapping around and useless now.

It looks as if I can just remove some of the fairing and perhaps just replace the spring, but before I begin my attempt, has anyone any experience of this, ot suggestions?

Its unlikely to be a spring (but can't be certain, not having a Fazer) but you may have damaged the ball joint for the mirror, which would mean replacing the whole thing.

I seem to think that in some mirrors there is a spring reached by taking off the mirror and gaining access via the fairing end through a hole, hope fully its just a case of hooking it on and that should be it fcrossed.gif cheers
Mr Brownstone
try taking the mirror off, i dunno about your bike but there should be two nuts at the bottom, take off the bottom one, then get a socket on nut inside and tighten it. happened on the zephyr
