I'm looking at getting some new flush 'fairing' indicators for my Bandit, and have seen these on the m&p website. Do tinted ones work as well as clear or amber ones? Are they even legal?

Tinted are crap go with clear or amber jobs...if they are dark tinted they ain't good and iridium ones (at least all the ones I've seen) do not show up as well...the best mini ones are LED these do show up look cool but are expensive and you'll need to wire in resistors or sommat to get the flash rate correct. I have fitted some Motrax mini arrow ones and the bulbs don't blow (21w) like the cheapo or early mini indicators used to and they are built to a much better standard they also have a reflector behind the bulb which some don't which helps a bit. Standard ones are pretty good at what they do so whatever you do will kinda be a compromise so look around at what others have fitted and see how they work and what you like the look of. When or if you do fit some it is worth making the connections as proffessional as possible because if you don't they will Fail etc.

Ive fitted some motrax ones which were LED ones before, and I didn't need to wire it up in a special way or anytihgn - just soldered the wires together and jobs a goodun!

You said pretty much what I expected though - black ones look good but I cant see them doing a very good job!

You were lucky with the LEDs beer.gif

Those flush fit onoe are self adhesive so I'd clean the area with some white spirit or solvent first to get a good stick...good luck with your purchase put up some picks when your done ay... wink1.gif

I will do yeah! I bought some crap ones after I dropped it and broke the origionals cause I though thers no point getting some good ones if i'm going to keep dropping it, but I have more faith in myself after the last few months of riding it so i'm going to treat myself!

send us some pics once you have done it......

Tinted one my look "cool" is that is what you like,,,

but nothing like a very nice bright one,,,,, to get the attention of those sleeping drivers.

reason why I changed my rear light to a LED panel with 3 rows of 8 leds..

much better,,,,,,,,, as a hear light

and Very bright as I hit the brakes,,,,,
£45 but in my view,, worth every penny......................
