heres a wee tip for the next time you clean ur bike.
dya know all the matt black plastic parts, like water pipes, hoses, instrument surounds, indicators, and mirrors(just the plastic mind, not the shiny bit ya see ya mush in).
well dya know how they fade, turn white with left over polish and generaly cant be buffed up like other shiny parts.
wipe them with a cloth dipped in a bit engine oil(or any for that matter, but new obviously!)
ive done it for years. give it a try next time you clean ya pride, it comes up a treat!
:p

Feck, I've never heard of that one.  :O

Would that always make it go a bit faster. All that oil would make it slip through the air a bit quicker.    :laughcont:

When i was a young engineering apprentice the lads used to tell us to pee on our hands to make em tough so we wouldn't get blisters from hammer shafts.

think it was the same guy who sent me for a square bubble for the spirit level though no.gif

Miners used to pee on thier feet to prevent athletes foot, I think it was the amonia in the water that cured it?..

Top tip!!

When giving my baby (Citroen ZX) a full valet over the weekend I ran out of Back to Black for the bumpers.
Thought I'd try this little tip.  I was amazed at how clean and 'black' the black bits became.  My car looked like new by the time I'd finished.

Thanks Dr. G.
