Just found out the other day, because my visor is curved across as well as from top to bottom, fog city inserts don't stay stuck to it very well. I'm thinking of super gluing the insert onto my visor, what'dya reckon?
My helmet cost £40 so if the insert lasts 6-12 months, I'd be more than happy to get a new helmet when the time comes and the insert/visor is knackered...

I wouldn't use superglue

To keep my insert in place I have used duck tape (I think it called duck tape

) it is grey in colour, I just put little thin strips of the tape along the visor to keep the insert in place but make sure it doesn't block of view.

Hey, not a bad idea! Perhaps I could use carpet tape - I have some lying around somewhere...
It's only the bottom part of the insert that is the problem, a gap appears and suddenly I'm all steamed up!

well
i have used tape also long ago on the J1 helmet
the insert did not fit well,, so I put tape to hold in place at the botton,, near the chin..
it has lasted so far more than 2 years.......

Yeah, superglue can "mist" or "frost" with a nasty white residue.

Another reason to use tape instead of glue, is that you will need to take the tint out at night time, if you glue it, that would be difficult!

True, however my insert is not tinted. I prefer the 'Chips' look...

Close but no cigar.. its actually called DUCT TAPE and was designed for sealing heating and air conditioning ducts, not ducks, which apparently have tight bums so they don't sink and therefore don't need sealing tape

Ok I stand corrected, please accept my humble apologies

however I think the trade name came about as a result of regular mispronunciation but it was initially designed for sealing the joints in Ducts.
