Is that today as in Monday or today just gone as in Sunday (looking at the time of the post it could be either)
If it's Sunday - nothing, I opted for the clean the house and wash the windows inside and out - dunno why I bothered, it's pishing down now rolleyes.gif
If it's today - uncovered him, did the school run in the rain trying to avoid all the sh!te thats been washed into the road, and there was plenty of it Oo1.gif . Having a quick smoke and a cuppa then I shall ride him to work
Finn
Sunday, Nowt, mowed the lawn and then had to go with the g/f's nephews to the local school fair thing (Although they did have trike "rides" for charity, nephews loved it although they werent as good as my bike... cool2.gif ).

Today, got absolutely soaked, it really is diabolical out there. Not helped by people like the MPV I saw this morning doing 80 down the A331 without any lights on. First time I got to test my gear in torrential rain though and discovered its waterproof excpet I must put boots and gloves inside trousers and jacket, not the other way around (My socks are currently sitting on top of my pc trying to dry off.)

Sunday- Took the back brake to bits and cleaned it up, found out WHY the back brake was a bit stiff.... pre-historic crud in the linkage!

THEN went got a quick blat, stopped off at my local for a quicky then failed to make a dignified exit (didn't want to start cry.gif ), to took the sparky out and gave it a good clean- off I went.

Today- Nothing yet, will be riding to work this afternoon (if it starts) and that's yer lot!
incompletepete
I gave it a good clean, followed by a rinse down using the jetwash at the BP petrol station. Was too busy otherwise to ride it!
Michael
Yeah, yesterday I thraped the ol' girl to Donnington and back in the rain. Roads that would have you clenching the seat in the dry. Glad I didn't wash her last night because it was like a river on the A40 this morning.

I got peeped for filtering and cutting in! lol

Yesterday - cleaned it , polished it, tightened chain, admired it, wrapped it up in its cover. tounge1.gif

Today - admired covered bike in rain, through window, with its gleaming front wheel just showing, I just wanted to bring it into house, into the dry hearts.gif - but thought better go to work instead cry.gif

I am now praying bowdown.gif for the rain to stop so that I can go for that blast I was hoping to do today grin.gif

Yesterday; cleaned it followed by a pressure wash after I got bored of cleaning, wish I'd just done the pressure wash in the first place, checked chain tension and tyre pressure.
Pyro
Sunday; hauled it out of the garage (to get Mr Wolfs' surfboard back in) and shoved it back in.

Monday; Rode to work, rode home for lunch, rode back to work, will probably ride home again (the long way since the sun is splitting the heavens here wwww.gif ) and may have to check my tyre pressures at some point too.

hmmm

Long ride saturday - am now far more confident leaning the bike over and cornering at greater speeds grin.gif

Sunday
- Tightened mirrors and mounts (kept shifting with wind blast)
- went over electrics and bulbs
- checked brakes and oil
- Thought about all the fun we had together on saturday as I sat in the pub and watched the rain
Snowy
Started her, then remembered the chain needed tightening, sat on her while 'im indoors tightened it. Started her again. Then stood looking at her while 'im indoors perused the choke which isnt working right. Started her again, then went down the road and then went down another road. Then we went down another road and werent too sure where we were, then found a signpost for somewhere we knew. We went down that road and found the somewhere we knew. Went to Sainsburys to get some money to go to the pub and realised I had left my card at home so went home to get the card.
Tomorrow we are going to the place I got losted in to see if he can find his way to where I was meant to be going when I got losted laughcont.gif Yes he does have two weeks holiday and we are going to phut around on the bikes as much as possible, only having to get home to get kids from school buttrock.gif

Came close to dumping her and me in a hedgerow when I hit a load of gravel on a tight right hander on a back road. Phew! ooh2.gif

Also got her a sissybar which I'll fit just in time to strap the tent and stuff on it for the NABD 15 rally on Friday! Woot! beer.gif

Rode to college:

I was about to ride back when i had a nasty surprise! She wouldnt start eletrically - so i kick started and rode home, then proceeded to take off the cover and poke around looking for loose connections (wasnt my battery i checked that) and then i realised:

Id got so used to pulling in the brake when i start her up that i forgot that if you dont - the electric start wont work! (safety for twist n go) Duuuuh mad1.gif

Anyway, i decided to give her a good clean after that - to say sorry, and clean i did, for 1and a half hours - i was getting rid of that stubborn crud and the places that r hard to reach with a jetspray thingy. Up to my elbows in grease and Wd40 but it was worth it, i got a few compliments from random passers by :-)
Mike
Was able to ride to and from work today. Got to work at 7:00, and left at 19:30 so had quiet roads. More than made up for the 'mare of a day I had. Bikes = Therepy. Trinode, you are so right!!!

The weather here has been just... amazing! lbhh.gif

Blasting around local roads, weaving in and out of traffic, loving absolutely every pot-hole, idiot cager, patch of diesel, 125 riders in shorts, women with extremely short skirts on, hairdressers in their soft-tops (with low-cut tops!), dogs off leads and police.

Lovng everything because I was on my bike, big grin, everyone thinking "what an idiot on a bike with a big grin... why is he grinning?!"

What a great day! dry roads, warm day almost perfect! Also got a new roll-bag for the back of the bike which will fit everything (except clothing) for the NABD weekend! So that's... tent, inflating bed, stool, table, flag pole and support, flags, toiletries (tooth brush), sleeping bag, rubber mallet, extra tent pegs and torches.

2morrow involves installing a power lead for the GPS, a very good wash down and maybe a waterproof ciggie lighter adapter to charge iPod!

I love my bike! hearts.gif
