I came across a link to this site on Gloucestershire's Bike Safe website.

In essence it's a scheme where you have a sticker on your bike which gives permission for other bikers to interlock their chains with yours. Seems like a good idea to me as it will deter some scumbag putting your bike in the back of a van if you are unable to lock it to anything when you park, but can chain it to another bikes chain.

It's something my local MAG group are suporting as well, It's worth doing if it means you bike won't get stolen as easily.

and with the added bonus that Registered members get discounts on insurance and on a wide range of security equipment...

This idea has been around for a while - theres a thread on here somewhere from about 2 years ago about the "lock it to me" scheme.

The problem with this idea is blokes puting the stickers on their heads while walking around in pubs/clubs..

Very good idea i think. I may just sign up as a member, even if its just for the discounts on alarms!!!!

You best lock your bike to another with a worse lock than yours :P
If your locks are on the ground they are vulnerable.
