This is the dreaded nail, which has screwed up my tyre. Do you thing this can be patched. The tyre is 170mm wide, which should give you a rough idea of the scale.
If it needs replaced, I suppose I'll just have to replace it. :verysad:

Dave a mate of mine was told they would not repair anything within an inch of the sidewall and even then you would have to sign a disclaimer if it was repairable.But this was the only dealer opened on a sunday.

ive had worse matey!
the guy repaired it, then within a week i got another and he advised i got a new tyre because i carried on home and made a right mess of it, he said he shouldnt of really done it the first time but as it was still a decent tyre.........
it can be fixed, not a problem, but these days garages have to cover their backs.etc etc.
personally id just repair it, if some one will take it on.

I think I'll give it a go. I just need to find someone who'll patch it now.

bloody nails-i had to change my rear tyre today bloody nail right through the sidewall & tread in much the same place as BD's. couldnt repair it so nice shiney new one-£40 trade,
course it was on the car
