I may be tempted but I'm just back from doing this so I can cut the grass and watch the GP and WSB tomorrow.

I can definitely recommend the A82 A85 A86 stretches if you're up early enough to miss the tourist buses and caravans. The A86 in particular was deserted with sweeping bends and excellent views. Just watch for the single track part towards the end as most cars coming the other way expect you to move over!

Oh and I forgot to metion there was a police speed trap just before Glencoe and the only person they pulled that I saw was a bloke in his freelander towing a caravan. Everyone coming towards me before I got there was madly flashing and making hand signals that you couldn't possibly have not known they were up ahead. Guess he just wasn't paying attention. :laughcont:

Unfortunately, I still have a big nail in my tyre, which probably won't get sorted now till Tuesday. I quite fancied a bimble, especially if the weather holds out. That little chef is only about 15 mins away from my house. I would have quite happily joined you.
Hope you have a good day gents.

And this was today's route.
If anyone wants to repeat it avoid 3 - 4 as that was the unplanned offroad experience but make sure you do 4 to 5 as that's the flying lessons!

That looks like a good run. I don't usually go along that road because I'm not keen on going through Helensburgh. (I think that is the roads shown on the map ) although there are some nice roads after it. You got a good day for it by the looks of things.

Dave, we actually took what will affectionately become known by the SBs as the 'Helensburgh bypass' and missed it out. If you'd seen it you would have no qualms about going through Helensburgh ever again

Thanks DP,
I was going to ask about the wee chips. What would you use
to fill tem? If it was a car, I'd use cellulose putty, but don't
know about that on plastic. On the other hand, I could use
gaffer tape

The indicator ain't a problem. I put little uns them on my 600
and I've got a full set left over. When I run out I'll get a set
of them nice little allicators.
