recenlty bought a kawasaki enduro style ke100 from a private seller for the pricely sum of 250.. its k reg and its done 4500 legit miles.. so first impressions oif it.

first day picked it up.. drove round on it for test drive ran fine.. parted with money brother back home sorted insurance online and off i went big adventure home.. well the guy drove off in his van.. i went 500 meters and it started to slug.. not good.. it cut out and wouldnt restart.. whelled it 3 miles toi the nearest bike garage.. and left it there to be fixed . TURNS OUT THAT THE SPARK PLUSG GONE.. not good.. anyway he fixed it started running like a dream.. ( the guys paying for the repair ).. anyway parked up at home left it overnight.. went out this morning got a mile from home on way to do cbt and it cut out.. pushed it to test centre and the guy got it riunning once again witha new spark plug.. this is looking bad.. anyway ive done 60ish miles on it now.. and it seems to be running grand... gotta say its got a leathal pick up for a 100 cc just tops at about 55 ish.. which considering i'm 14.5 stone aint too bad.. although it seems to be giuzzling fuel at the moment..

anyone ever had one of these ??

i would check the choke.. it could explain the spark plug fouling and fuel consumption problems.. does it run a standard exhaust and airbox? past owners might of messed with the jetting or needle heights trying to get it to go faster

Also check whether it's the right plug - they run at different temps and have different lengths to suit different engines.

You do know that you've been riding without a licence and insurance, don't you? You were very lucky that there was no DSA inspector at the place you did your CBT, if there had been you wouldn't have a licence now, as it would have been siezed and you would be facing a hefty fine and possible disqualification.

well actually no.. i wouldnt.. well could have but unlikely

the bike hadnt actually gone on any public roads aside from the half mile to the test centre ( the one downfall in my court arguemnt ).. its 2 miles to the test centre.. which i pushed it the last mile and half ( i thought i'm getting this cbt so i can ride this bugger wasnt no stopping me ..), ( my old cbt ran out last week ).

the test drive was on private property and i never actually drove on the roads.. actually got a officer pull up and ask me what i was doing pushing the bike..

anyway not to argue thanks for the advice smile1.gif..

btw cbts suck.. 90 quid for about an hour is scandelous..

Have to point out you were lucky cos the officer could have done you anyway - even tho you were pushing not riding, and he really ought to have told you that!
