Closer examination of the factory supplied tyres on the R6 revealed they were in fact D208's. For the sake of your sanity, avoid these tyres at all costs! They don't grip in the rain. They don't grip for the first 20 miles on dry roads. They wear out in 2500 miles on an R6... 1000 miles of which were running in so not exactly being worked hard. With them on the R6 was excessively lively at the front end (tankslapping would be a euphemism).

I now got nice reliable BT010's on. The front end behaves, they grip reasonably well in the rain, they grip reasonably well when they're cold. How long they last remains to be seen... but I bet it's more than 2500 miles... and I ain't running in no more....

I like the Bridgestones. The BT020s a great, I wouldn't go for anything else. I had Pirellis on the viffer, when I first got it. The weren't the grippiest of their line but even the touring BT020 felt like a race tyre compared to them.
