Kinda cool how it works with that HUD helmet attachment too. Oh, and I have no affiliation to the company, etc etc. I'm just posting because I'm a sucker for gadgets and stuff

Mmm, toys...
I like the idea of a HUD. I hate glancing down at my clocks. Technology must exist to project a HUD on the inside of a visor?

I'd exercise a bit of caution. I believe that the Road Safety Bill plans to outlaw these devices when it becomes law

I heard that as well. There are products popping up that notify you of accident hotspots (aka static cameras) but will not pick up lazers etc that get round the proposed changes. Then again if you plan to have one, you possibly break the law a little, so one more rule wont hurt eh?

GPS systems can use databases to notify you of static camera locations and likely mobile camera van locations. They are only as good as your last download. Newer systems can update via bluetooth mobile phone link.
The law is planning to stop laser and radar detector usage. The rozzers will have to use a detector-detector to find this puppy though.

Snappy, you're missing the point!! This is a cool toy. You'll see them obviously, but what could be cooler than a beeping, flashing thing telling you what you are seeing anyway. Sheeesh.
Anyway, I'm off to play with my lego
As an aside, I like the idea of a HUD too, my clocks are not in my field of vision so anything like that HUD is a step forward I think.

The HUD idea looks good - and would work with my bike (I checked). I guess the bulk (and at the moment, cost) would put me off. I wonder what it's like with the wind catching it? The manufacturer claims it is okay up to about 160mph. Staying put isn't the same thing as increased drag making your helmet uncomfortable.
Hmmmmm.................
