Full Version: Oil Leak

I have just noticed my Virago is oozing (rather than a full on leak) from around the area where the cylinder block joins with the crankcase. Visualy it looks like getting the leak fixed might involve a full on engine out and taking apart job. Would likely cost a fortune to take to garage and I don't have the skills to tackle it myself. In your experience, should I get it fixed or can I live with it (keeping an eye on oil levels) or might this cause long term damage to my bike? Or, is there a cheapo way of sorting the problem?

Clean it off and then monitor it. You don't say how old the bike is but you might get away with just having the head nipped down.

Thanks. It's not too bad, but obviously I'll get the garage to look at it when next in for service
