Ian
Been for a "bimble" this morning and ended up on a stretch of the M74 for a lttle while.  Felt like I was doing 70-80 but curiously everyone seemed to be going rather slowly.  Checked my speed to see 110 showing. Oops! On another stretch the bike felt a bit more vibey than usual, until I realised I'd been doing 90 in fourth for the last 2 miles. blush21.gif no.gif

I'm gonna have to be careful!

laughcont.gif that reminds me of the first time I tried a bike with a fairing. It really threw out my perception of speed.

I soon got used to it though.  :verysad:

you two, what you like, try glancing down at the instruments once in a while, theres a speedometer thingy which is  usually easy to see, know what you mean about the gears tho Ian, you have an excuse as its a bigger new bike, you will get the feel for it tho.
I often think this ZZR needs another service, after i've been riding a school bike all day-then snick it up one & all goes nice & smooth again blush21.gif

When I got the Sprint Exec after riding a CB400 Super Four, I did wonder what the other three gears were for ....

With the ST, I've found that I'm changing up at least 2 gears when arriving at dull carriageway or motorway after being on my local A-road commute ... but only after a mile or two when I'm getting bored and looking for something to do. wink1.gif
