Not sure what you mean by a sleeve - is this chrome or painted? Can't you polish out the scratch?
coxhillsam2
it's actually really deep and started to rust where it has cut through the alu sleeve, just wondering if you could get something like this but round instead of oval, doubt i can but worth trying i suppose

Not all cans are noisy, there are many quiet versions available if you want one.

I have seen them for my VFR but it doesn't seem to be a common part. I can't remember where I saw them though. blush21.gif

Can't you sand down the scratch (to remove the rust that's forming) and fill it with GunGum? even as just a temporary measure till you find a sleave?

Exhausts arn't my strong point, It won't be pretty but at least it'll be in one piece.

depending on who made it, they may be able to re-sleeve it. I'm about to send off one of my dented Venoms to be re-sleeved at a cost of £45, they are also going to try and re-sleeve a BlueFlame that I have in the garage for about the same amount....

cheers for the help, i don't think i will be able to have it proffesionally re-sleeved because it is a standard part,

AncientD: you were right had a look at some motad exhausts seems v.nice and a great price, so might end up going for one of them after winter.

DB: that site was just what i meant, you obviously have googling skills beyond mine, carbon finish would be really nice, gonna give em tinkle 2moro.

Cheers

If you have twin exhausts and the sleeves are riveted on can't you swap the sleeves from one side to the other if it conceals the scratch?
coxhillsam2
VERY clever thought there wilf sadly i only have a single can but never thought of it like that, would work aswell...
