Hello
I am looking at something like the Knox cold killers top and bottoms to keep warm on my bike in the winter. Does anyone use these or something similar?
If so how do you rate them? Does anyone know anywhere that has a good deal on them at the moment?
Cheers Bob

Prefer EDZ stuff myself.
http://www.edz.bizCheers Ian. I have just had a look £20 for a top and £20 for the bottoms ! ! ! Thats a fair bit cheaper than Knox. Are they any good?

They certainly work for me. Best as part of a layering system though. I would go for the mid layer crew neck too if you're thinking of winter riding (also £20). I've not tried their windproof stuff as my kit plus the base/mid layer have always been warm enough.

I might be making some "Warmaffront"s again this year - a bit like a bib with a short collar. made of a windproof fabric that keeps the chill from getting through the zip of your jacket, bit thicker than the knox stuff I think.
I've never had a reason to keep my legs warmer - leather jeans with or without slip on waterproofs and engine heat seem to do a good enough job there.

why not!

- I'll make a few and put an add in classifieds I doubt if they'll cost me much to make

A car works well for keeping warm in the winter

I use a Cold Killers neck roll thing, very good at stopping the wind from working its way inside.

I've got some good old fashioned long johns for when it's real brass monkeys out. My dainese jacket lost the inner jacket but I've a couple of fleeces, should do the job.

Mother-in_law got me some long-johns specifically for the bike, after I arrived at here one day and complained of frozen nuts.
Not sure where she got them, but they sure work. They also got a good laugh when I had to change into some smart clothes in the office

I got some Thermal t-shirts and Long sleeve- fleece shirts....balaclava....
If very cold more thin layers...
for the Legs,,,,, I use Leggings, under a jeans etc plus water-proof - cordura trousers..
Over the years, the only place I feel cold is my hands even though my gloves and for winter.... Might have to get a better one as as soon as the temperature goes close to ZERO I suffer...
I also have, Neoprene Knee warmers , Kidney Belt, and ankle & wrist support for when is really cold,,, it keeps your joints warm,,,,
Now I just have to see if I can put Hand Guards on the Bandit, so it protects my hand a bit from the wind....
have anyone tried it.....???
