Just had two hours on a 650 burgerbar and have to say that it is the dogs knackers!
Fast as feck off the mark and keeps going pretty strongly to about seventy five when it gets a bit gentler upto about a hundred and fifteen ( dont tell the dealer i said that!).

Big fat and lardy but very balanced and surprisingly stable at ninety despite todays blasting crosswind.  Lovely comfy thing and superb pretend manual gears are fecking great!  Linked brakes, proper swingarm, decent sussies ( read comfortable rather than sporty!). I opened the underseat storage compartment to find twenty seven ruwandan refugees ahd camped in their and opened a goat meat shop!
All in all I was very impressd but at £6500 they can shove it right up their .......

Such a shame coz it really is a fantastic machine - i would love one!  But at that sort of money Ive got no chance.

So, then I took out a brand new 400 which is far less technological and more scooter in design ( engine on the swingarm etc) but that was also brilliant.  Went quite well although no way near as well as the fat boy and had excellent linked brakes that haul it up a treat.  Once again surprisingly stable although eighty five ish seemed to be more realistic cruising speed it did show more than a ton when pressed.

So, at £4000 much more like it.  Hummmmmm.........shall I?

Zomb, the price of the big scoots is supposed to drop like a stone for used ones. You might pick up a second hand one at a reasonble price.

ps. I'll have cheese and onions on mine.  :p

I think that anyone who bought a launch model Tmax for nearly seven grand will be spitting feathers about now1  Brand new for under four grand - Ive seen second handers for £3500 upwards!

I know of someone with a 400 burgervan-he loves it grin.gif

I suspect the T-Max will be more of your "thing" Zombie............

You should never have sold the ZZR M8, to think thats its come to this devil1.gif

It had an optional stereo but i couldn't see a bain marie anywhere so hot dogs are off im afraid.

my problem, which is unique to me (not!), is that i need about six bikes to suit my mood at the time.  I really believe I could be happy with a Tmax and genuinely believe you can have an enjoyable ride on just about most bikes out there - had a good ride to bentley with eb the other day for instance.  Okay so i had no chance in hell of keeping up if he turned it on a bit but i was still hitting eighty on straights and using the road to maintain corner speed as much as poss.

im going to see if i could wangle a test on a baby max.

( dont tell orwell but i managed to grind the exhaust on the 400) devil1.gif
