I dedicate this thread to any members who derestrict their peds/bikes or any other alterations that would invalidate insurance and ultimately deem them as an illegal road user, then brag about it publicly on this forum.
You will be challenged on this matter and you may flounce as much as you like but fact is that legal is legal and anything other than that is blatant disregard for your fellow road users.
This forum is for bikers/motorcyclists/scooterists in fact, any motorised two-wheelerists you care to mention. It is here to provide invaluable information, discussion, opinion, and knowledge to its members young and old. As a public forum it has a duty to provide good sound advice/information and anything that is deemed as irresponsible or illegal will be treated as just that.
Do not be suprised when you get challenged. If you choose to engage in such actions, best you keep it to yourself.
It may seem that we are all just a bunch of old farts who have nothing better to do than shout at you young 'uns, well we maybe old (er) and we may fart
but we do have the interests of all new riders in mind. Yes many of us did stupid stuff
and have learnt the hard way in many cases and want to pass on our experience.So... flounce and do your best Kevin impression...... OR..... take on board some sound advice and become a quality rider.
Who knows, you might even enjoy being on the forum and give other newbies advice and show them the error of your ways.....
