Errr, GS what?
Usually (cop out) there's an adjuster down near the sprocket cover.
Screw the lever end adjuster all the way into the bar clamp. Slacken the locknut at the other end of the cable and screw that adjuster down a bit. Now remove the rubber bung - there'll be a grub screw with a 10mm locknut. Undo the locknut and screw the grub screw in until you feel it biting against the clutch push rod - now back it off 1/4 of a turn. Hold the grub screw with a screwdriver and nip the locknut up.
Now screw the cable adjuster at the cover end up until all the play has gone out of the cable. Screw it down a turn or two and nip that locknut.
Now you can take up the slack at the lever end. This should mean that the adjuster there is about halfway along it's travel. That gives you a bit of freedom to adjust the cable while you're on the move, like if you're stuck in traffic and it tightens up, you can back it off a bit till the clutch cools down.
With a bit of playing you'll get it right. I'm a bit the worse for wear at the moment

sorry
