Should have everything in place, and be fully operational by 1st May. Can do some bike work now but with all the stuff not put away can only get in one bike at a time to work on.

I've got most of it done now and the workshop is ready for work, what ever's left can be done around bikes, just got one wall to pannel up so I'll be able to cope with anything that comes in.

It's amazing what a set of good plugs will do, isn't it? Glad I could solve your problem.

More news from the workshop, air tooling increased and a second dry line plumbed in for tyre inflation, sand blasting and paint spraying, and as from the 21st June I should have a B.T. phone and broadband installed. Business is starting to pick up, it seems my reputation is spreading.

Once the phones have been installed I hope to be live on line at all times while I'm in the workshop, the phone line will have an answer phone attached and I will reply to any messages as soon as I get to the workshop. Also I will soon have a 'Chat' identity possibly linked into my website, maybee Scorpio Taz can offer some help in this field as I'm still a bit of a novice as far as setting up web stuff is concerned, but will keep those that are interested informed as identitys become known. I need to get back into the swing of things and get the business really moving this year, especially now that I've found out I'm paying tax in advance now. Please remember if anyone needs to use my services you will get a minimum of £2 per hour discount over the standard price, which may increase if I need to put my rates up.

B.T. failed to live up to their promise of a phone line, firstly they had given me a number that was from an exchange too far away for broadband to work and that was just the start of the problems. They were informed of the problems and then tried to install the same number on the Tuesday following. After a few phone calls they realised their mistake and then re issued the order and gave me a number from the right exchange, by Friday 31st June (10 days late) they had managed to prove they line to the telegraph pole 10 feet away from the workshop and then decided that they had to put in a new pole next to my workshop to get the line accross the road, which is strange as the building adjacent to and connected to my workshop has a line from the same exchange. I've now been told that the pole will be installed by Friday 13th Julyand that they intend the install the line on Monday16th July, 26 days late. I wonder what compensation they will offer or wether they will try to wriggle out of their contract for the 21st June.
Why can't life be simple, and why can't B.T. get it right first time

It gets worse, B.T. intend to install the line on Monday 16th, however it now seems that they have ordered the wrong type of service, under the wrong conditions and have forgotten to get broadband ordered for it as well, even one of the customer services representatives cannot understand how they could have messed up so completely.

As you may have read I going quiet as I really do not have much free time. As I have said I'm still contactable via PM, e mail, through my website, windows messenger and through this thread, any queries will be answered as soon as I am able. Take care all. Dave.

Hi there all, it seems like years since I've been able to post in here. Business is hectic and very high pressure at the moment, but just a reminder that I am still about, all be it , very much in the background, and that if any of you have any bike problems, just send me a P.M. and I'll try to help you out.

Hi there all, thought I'd put in a quick update, due the the pressure of the taxi business I have had to relinquish my CBT Instructors Warrant and therefore can no longer offer that service. Seems so long since I actually had any time to myself but I finally managed to get a quiet afternoon in the workshop and tidy the place up. Now down to just 1 job in the workshop, a long term job getting a VFR400R back on the road, looks like I'm going to be able to get that finished in the next couple of weeks, then I'll be able to give the shop a complete clean and tidy up.
Stay safe, still thinking of you all.
Dave.
