... won't take long laughcont.gif

OK, I have a spray gun (don't ask why, I can't remember what made me buy it) that seems rather good but not sure how you use the damn thing properly!

If, for instance I were to purchase a "scap" panel for the back of the Bandy and wanted to paint it... what do I need paint/thinner/primer wise and what are the steps to success?

Oh, and I want one colour, no flipflops, glary bright stuff or anything like that... laughcont.gif

Right,
What type of gun,
number of spray nozzle,
Cfm rating of compressor,
where will you be painting it?
If you use cellulose & its plain red then you need to take the old panel in for colour matching.
If its metallic/candy(couldnt tell from the last lot of pics you posted) then its going to be 2 pack which will kill your pets & any customers with asthma.
This could take some time, so get back to me with some answers & we will take it further from there.

Or if it's electric fill it with cuprinol and spray the fence as thats about all they're good for!

Not that Im speaking from experience of course...................................... blush21.gif

Bugger ooh2.gif Ask a simple question... laughcont.gif

OK, I'll need to go get the gun thing to check... the bike's not a metallic (as far as I can tell, how do you tell?) paint...

The gun is electric Zomb, and I have used it to paint the fence laughcont.gif However, it has a sort of reservoir thing that works like the ones I used to use in the garage powered by a feck off big compressor... although it's a tad smaller blush21.gif

I was thinking more of the twenty five quid things from B&Q!

OK that makes it easy-forget it!
If its electric & uses the "disruptor" method than you would be better off buying an aerosol can from your Suzuki dealer. It wont have the power to atomise the paint sufficiently to give a smooth finish. So you would need to thin it down so much that it wont be worth it.
Mind you if you have a fence/shed that needs staining then go for it grin.gif
(oh & by the way, dont ask for advice by starting a thread with-"can I pick your brains-wont take long") swivel.gif  :D

You should have started a thread saying 'can i pick your brains - Ive got five minutes to spare'!!!!!! :p
