Im getting sick of adapting bikes so I can ride them. I love bikes but have been giving some thought to jacking them in and getting myself one of them there big scooters. I saw a cracking TMax 500 on ebay for three seven (2001 ex show bike) and all the mags (vomit) reckon this is the best of the big scoots and the most bike-like in handling and performance.
Whatever happens it wouldn't be til well into next year.
What dya reckon?

You'd need an extended period on one, to help decide whether you could live with it or not. I try one of those vespas in my youth and they were hellsih wobble about things. Don't know what the modern scoots are like though. But I don't think they'll handle as well as the bike. If you're going to keep you're current bike for a while, you might not feel as bad about having to do the work all over again, when it comes time to change it.

I always intend keeping them buit six months seems to be all I can bear before i have to change them - not always for the best , I have been lamenting the ZZR ever since it went.
Maybe Ill ask for my money back on the sprint and see if Brian will sell the old girl back to me. They probably wont give me my money back though but it's worth trying. Then again if they did give me my money back seeing as the sprint has spent more time in the workshop than with me since i bought it I could offer on the Tmax. Yeah, that's worth a go - the Tmax will have a 'captive' market and with the congestion charges...if i got it cheap enough i could always punt it out in six months or so?But they probably wont give me my money back or the best offer may be to swap it for another bike from their shop so its all academic really. Then again if i get my bike back soon and sort the gears out properly maybe Ill be happy again and wont want to get shot of it?
I used to be really indecisive.........................
But now Im not so sure..........

Zombie, words fail me chap... I know the big scooters are a good deal better than they were (my old chap had a burgervan for a while and that was bloody fast for lego model

) but I mean...
I reckon that every 3 months I say to the wife "feck, I can't be doing with this book business, it's breaking me back and driving me up the pole"... to which she says, "shut tf up... and get on with it"

Usually does it for me
The book business is an analogy rather than a comparison by the way... you can't ride a book as far as I can tell :shifty:

Stick your VFR's up yer jacksie .
You could also ask DP about big scoots, remember he'd admitted to being out in a burgervan. :wwww:

Oi DP, you don't think I'll forget about that one too easily.

The big Zed is the easiest bike to ride that Ive ever had the pleasure of trying. So much torque it's easy in traffic and overtaking? Well, blink and it's done. As for mags saying its a barge that doesnt handle - hairy plums to them!
And like the powder bronze one would say they're cheap as chips now.

You never know, maybe some day I'll have the pleasure of owning one.

Oi oi - what's this Sprint Sport I see on eBay before me ... I'm sure I've seen that picture of that kid before - and isn't that a blue TT600 lurking in the corner.
I'm sorry to hear you're not hanging on to the Sprint, but I'll admit that I changed mine more quickly than expected just cos it was (physically) too big for me. The ST is a different game all together. Lots of the same torque (well more actually) but lighter ... and in 3 years time it'll be mine. (There's always a catch ...)
We're never happy - else there would be no need for aftermarket bolt-on goodies.
